Este ano, o Japão estará matando 1850 baleias para sua "pesquisa científica", pegando-as "randomicamente" na Antártica. As explicações são as mais estúpidas possíveis, como esta, depois de ser publicada a foto com uma baleia e seu filhote:"The photographs taken by the [Australian Customs vessel] Oceanic Viking and which major Australian newspapers published today shows two minke whales, but they are not a mother and her calf as claimed by the media. Our research program requires random sampling of the Antarctic population, and therefore there will be a range of sizes". A "pesquisa" deles exige quase duas mil baleias e elas têm que ter tamanhos diferentes... Mesmo que seja verdade que não são mãe e filha, isso faz com que esta ação seja menos cruel?
Como se pode ver a hipocrisia não é exclusividade de Lula e sua turma. Para arranjar desculpas esfarrapadas, inclusive, eles são melhores que os japoneses...
